Stranger Things Season 5 will conclude the Hawkins saga. Over the past four seasons, fans of the Netflix series have seen wild drama, epic battles, and even some love stories unfold. In the upcoming final season of the show, viewers are looking for closure and answers to their burning questions. However, they also want to see one very important storyline finally unfold.
During the first four seasons of Stranger Things, fans have watched the characters of Joyce Byers and Jim Hopper dance around their feelings for each other. It all started when Joyce’s son, Will Byers, went missing. Hopper was one of the only people to really help Joyce figure out what to do and help to save Will from the Upside Down. After that, the duo’s relationship only grew closer.
Stranger Things Season 5: Fans want more Joyce and Hopper
During Season 3, Hopper looked to Joyce for parenting advice when he was unsure how to handle Eleven’s romance with Mike. He also made it very clear that he was romantically interested in Joyce. However, Joyce was still mourning the death of her boyfriend, Bob, who died in Season 2.
Of course, Season 4 of Stranger Things brought Joyce and Hopper even closer together. Joyce decoded Hopper’s message and went to Russia to save him. She never gave up hope that Hopper was alive. She is the reason he was ultimately reunited with Elle. Joyce and Hopper also had a bit of a romantic moment themselves. They shared a passionate kiss that was interrupted by a phone call. However, fans now have high hopes for the final season.
In Stranger Things Season 5, viewers will need to see many things, including Will’s showdown with Vecna and/or the Mind Flayer. They’ll also need to find out what happens to Max, and if Nancy will end up with Jonathan or Steve.
However, fans are hoping for a happy ending for Joyce and Hopper as well. Perhaps the two will be able to blend their families and live happily ever after following the final battle. Although, some viewers are understandably worried that something could happy to Joyce, Hopper, Eleven, or the rest of the Hawkins gang.

However, in a perfect world, fans would get to see a flash-forward in Stranger Things Season 5. Maybe we’ll get to see the gang all grown up. It would be fun to find out what becomes of them in their adult years. After having suffered and battled so hard as teenagers the gang deserves some happiness.
Stranger Things Season 5 is sure to be an epic conclusion to one of the most beloved shows of all time.
