“Stranger Things” Season 5 spoilers suggest that fans will be seeing a time jump in the final episodes. Many viewers have been expecting some sort of time progression for the final season. Some fans even believe that they’ll see the adult versions of the characters, and where they end up. (Fingers crossed, this happens!) Of course, there so many things to resolve before that happens. Although, David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper on the Netflix series, did hint that fans will get a glimpse into the future.
In an interview with the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast with Josh Horowitz, Harbour revealed that he read some “Stranger Things” Season 5 scripts before the SAG-AFTRA strike. “They’re terrific, as per usual. They continue to outdo themselves, these currently-on-strikes writers, called the Duffer brothers. It’s a hell of an undertaking, too. The set pieces and the things in the scripts that we saw are bigger than anything we’ve done in the past,” he explained.
Stranger Things Season 5 time jump hinted by David Harbour
Harbour has revealed that Season 5 picks up sometime after Season 4, and that things are greatly changed for the Hawkins crew. “You gotta imagine where it starts, after where Season 4 ended, you watch us on that hill looking at the ash and the smoke, fires. And we’re gonna start somewhere after that, so you gotta imagine that the world is a different place. It’s great, it’ll take a while to shoot, which’ll be tough, since we can’t get started yet, but it is what it is,” the actor stated.
Some of the most pressing issues that “Stranger Things” is going to have to address in Season 5 is Max’s health condition, Will’s connection to the Upside Down, Vecna’s fate, and the love triangle between Nancy, Jonathan, and Steve.
The final season has yet to start filming due to SAG-AFTRA strike
It’s tough to say when Season 5 will begin streaming on Netflix. The “Stranger Things” cast has yet to start filming the final episodes due to the strikes in Hollywood. This means that there will likely be a long wait ahead of fans as they try to figure out what’s in store for their favorite characters like Eleven, Mike, Steve, Robin, Dustin, and others.
However, whatever the Duffer Brothers have in store for the final season of “Stranger Things,” it will likely be worth the wait. Stay tuned to Hollywood News Daily for all the updates on Season 5 as they roll in.
