“Stranger Things” is one of the most beloved shows on television. The Netflix original has captured the hearts of so many fans, and after the emotional and horror-inspired Season 4, viewers can’t wait to see what the fifth and final season will hold. Season 4 revealed so much about the story and gave major insight into the Upside Down, as well as Vecna. However, some fans didn’t expect to fall in love with one new character named Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn).
During “Stranger Things” Season 4 fans were devastated when Eddie seemingly died fighting in the Upside Down and facing his fears. Eddie was the breakout character of the season, and fans were not happy to see him die. However, many have devised a theory that would bring Eddie back in Season 5, although it may not be in the capacity that viewers want.
Millie Bobby Brown teases Eddie’s return in ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5
Some fans have theorized that Eddie may return as a Lieutenant of Vecna, and now Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) is speaking out about the theory and giving fans some hope that Eddie may return for “Stranger Things” Season 5. “I mean, it’s a good fan theory,” Brown told Entertainment Tonight. She continued, “I loved Billy. I loved Dacre Montgomery, who was killed off in season 3. I had a really good relationship with him, so for me, it was really hard to let go of that. And the same thing with Papa in this season,” she added.
Meanwhile, Quinn seems very open to returning to the show for the final season. He previously admitted that he and his co-star Joe Keery (Steve Harrington) have even come up with a storyline that would bring Eddie back to Hawkins. “Me and Joe Keery were discussing ways in which I could kind of [come back]… maybe I’d be like a figment of Gaten’s [Dustin Henderson) imagination or something,” he told Radio Times. “Like if there could be some kind of room for something like that, something a bit supernatural.”
Joseph Quinn shares his idea for Eddie Munson’s return
Sadly, Quinn isn’t holding out hope for Eddie’s return, as he confessed he believes the Duffer Brothers have moved on past the death of the character. “My suspicion is that Eddie has done what he needed to do for the Brothers,” the actor added.
It seems that “Stranger Things” fans will be forced to wait until Season 5 to see if Eddie makes an appearance, and how the gang will end their story.
