Sylvester Stallone will not be charged for an alleged 30-year-old rape accusation according to TMZ.
In December of last year, an unnamed woman filed a police report claiming that she was sexually assaulted by the “Rocky” star once in 1987 and again in 1990.
Sylvester Stallone stated at the time that he was innocent of rape accusations and believed that the woman filed false police reports. On Tuesday, October 30 the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office cleared Sylvester Stallone of the alleged rape charges claiming there was insufficient evidence.
The court docs also reveal that none of the accuser’s witnesses corroborated the woman’s allegations. Sources connected with the case tell TMZ 2 witnesses contradicted the woman’s story.
The statute of limitations had also expired. However, due to the accusations, the Santa Monica PD was still forced to investigate the claims.
Sylvester Stallone is just one of many celebrities that have been recently named in sexual assault charges in the past several months. As previously reported just a few other stars among a long list named include Scott Baio, Danny Masterson, Charlie Sheen and Bill Cosby who was found guilty and sentenced to at least ten years in prison at the age of 81.
Bill Cosby, the convicted sex offender is believed by many of his former fans that the aging “Cosby Show” star will most likely live out his remaining years behind bars due to constant failing health issues and his advanced age at the time of his sentencing. Should Bill Cosby live to exceed the ten year sentence the fallen actor, comic and sitcom star will be 92-years old at the time of his potential release. In July before Cosby’s sentencing it was reported that Cosby was in rapid failing health and losing his will to live.
The Cosby informant claims Bill is not eating much and often sits for hours without moving about. They also claim that he is currently suffering from hemiplegic migraines which is a rare condition that brings on multiple stroke-like symptoms including speech and vision issues along with temporary paralysis that can last for several days.
