Taylor Swift fans are going wild. The iconic singer is known for her large group of girlfriends and her love life. Over the years, Swift has amassed quite the list of famous ex-boyfriends. The star has dated men like Harry Styles, Joe Jonas, John Mayer, Joe Alwyn, Matty Healy, Taylor Lautner, Tom Hiddleston, and more. However, one ex-boyfriend in particular has taken a ton of heat from the Swifties. Actor Jake Gyllenhaal has been the center of some criticism from the singer’s loyal followers over the years. Now, he’s teaming up with one of Swift’s close friends, Sabrina Carpenter.
Us Weekly reports that Gyllenhaal and Carpenter will soon be working together. They’ve both been tapped for the May 18th episode of “Saturday Night Live.” It remains to be seen if they’ll star in any skits together. However, they’ll likely be cozied up in their promos for the episode. This is of interest to fans because of Swift’s worried history with Gyllenhaal, whom she wrote the song “All Too Well” about. Of course, her friendship with Carpenter adds another level of drama to the situation.
Taylor Swift gal pal Sabrina Carpenter headed to SNL with Jake Gyllenhaal
Taylor Swift fans didn’t hesitate to take to social media to share their thoughts on the upcoming “SNL” pairing. “Jake and Sabrina?! I literally laughed out loud in Swiftie,” one person stated. “Person who booked Jake and Sabrina for the same day: laughs in Swiftie,” another commented. “Sabrina performing when Jake is on SNL? Oh this will be fun,” a third person said.
“I think we should be congratulating Sabrina over SNL rather than jumping on the whole All Too Well/Jake Gyllenhal train,” another Twitter user quipped. “The way some Swifties are acting about Jake and Sabrina on SNL is so weird. I promise you Taylor dgaf about that man,” said another.
Taylor Swift will likely cheer on Sabrina Carpenter during her Saturday Night LIve gig, despite her past with Jake Gyllenhaal. However, fans will likely be watching to see if any Swift references are made during the show.
