Instead, she was hoping that he would announce his retirement after losing the 2025 Super Bowl and be ready to start a family with her instead.
According to Radar Online, Taylor Swift has stayed quiet about Travis Kelce’s retirement decision. However, behind closed doors she’s been hoping that he would decide to pull the plug on his NFL career, much like his older brother, Jason Kelce, did last year.

“Travis could retire this minute, because he’s set financially and has other irons in the fire, like acting. But he wants to go out on top,” an insider dished. “She wants to get married and start a family, and now is the time. Privately, she’s hoping Kelce will retire, but she’ll support him through another year of football if that’s what he wants.”
Taylor and Travis began dating in the summer of 2023. They went public with their relationship later that year when Swift showed up at a Chiefs game to cheer on Kelce. The two later left together, and fans went wild. Since that time, they have been the most talked-about celebrity couple in Hollywood.
