“Teen Mom 2″ Leah Messer’s life has seemingly been a nightmare over the past couple of years. The MTV star has had hurdle after hurdle to jump over and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop any time soon.
According to Radar Online, Leah Messer’s ex-husband, Corey Simms, wants full custody of their twin daughters, Ali and Aleeah, and is prepared to fight to get more time with the girls.
“With her drug and emotional issues, Corey doesn’t think Leah is in any shape to be a good mother right now. He will stop at nothing to make sure his girls are in safe hands,” an insider revealed.
As many “Teen Mom 2” fans know, Leah and Corey battled over custody last year as Simms decided he wanted more time with the girls. However, they eventually came to a custody agreement last December and it had been working out until Leah’s alleged drug issues and marital issues came back in to play.
Messer was accused of cheating by her husband Jeremy Calvert which lead to a very rocky road for the couple and eventually lead to divorce. Leah and Jeremy finalized their divorce last week although Messer had to attend the divorce hearing via telephone because she is currently in rehab for what’s being called stress and depression issues.
Thankfully for Leah Messer, she won’t have two custody battles on her hands when she gets out of rehab. The “Teen Mom 2” star and Jeremy Calvert have worked out a custody agreement for their daughter Adalynn and will be sharing time with the toddler.
“When Leah comes home, they will share joint custody of Addie,” a source stated. “Jeremy doesn’t want to take his daughter away from her mom.”
Hopefully, Leah can get her issues in check and get back on her feet after divorce number two and another custody dispute with Corey Simms, who is currently expecting another child with wife Miranda.
