“Teen Mom” star Jenelle Evans‘ troubles with her teenage son Jace Evans continue to mount. At this point, things are not looking good for Jenelle and her husband, David Eason. The battle over her son continues to escalate, and David and Jenelle currently remain under investigation by Child Protective Services.
Teen Mom: Jenelle Evans Reportedly Forbidden From Contacting Jace Evans
Hollywood News Daily reported that Jace Evans, the son of former “Teen Mom” star Jenelle Evans, ran away from his mother’s North Carolina home for the third time earlier this month. Jenelle resides with her husband, David Eason, her son Kaiser, and her daughter, Ensley.
New reports reveal that Jace Evans has been placed in the custody of his maternal grandmother, Barbara Evans. After officials located Jace Evans following his third runaway attempt, the 14-year-old was admitted into a care facility and released on Tuesday, October 10, into his grandma’s custody.
At this time, it has been confirmed by both The Sun and The Ashley that Jenelle Evans has been banned from making contact with her son. Per the Sun, Jenelle cannot call or see her son. She is allowed no contact whatsoever. However, Jace Evans can use it to reach out to her.
Jace Evans Reportedly No Longer Wants to Live With Former Teen Mom Stars Jenelle & David.
The Ashley reports that their sources say, “Jace has been assured he will not have to live with Jenelle and David Anymore.” On Wednesday, October 11, Barb Evans reportedly went before the judge to process the legal arrangements to manage Jace’s care.
Currently, Jace is under Child Protective Services’ custody but will be permitted to live with Barb Evans. On Tuesday, one eagle-eyed Teen Mom fan spotted Barb and Jace in her car.
There will be a hearing later this month to check in on how things are going with Jace and Barbara, though it is unclear if anything will be made permanent at that time. The publication adds that they reached out to Jenelle Evans for comment. Her spokesperson stated that “Jace is visiting with Barbara.”
David Eason Accused of Assaulting Jace
Jenelle Evans, 31, was only given back custody of her son, Jace Evans, from her mother in March 2023. So, it appears that things spiraled out of control rather suddenly. Jace was first reported missing from Jenelle’s home for the first time on August 15,
At the time, Jenelle stated that Jace had acted out as teenage boys sometimes do because he was angry at his parents for taking his phone away. Jace went missing a second time on August 30 and was found ten minutes from his house.
On September 28, things escalated for Jenelle when Jace went missing a third time. But this time, the story takes a darker turn. Jace reportedly contacted Barb Evans and asked her to pick him stating he did not want to go back home because allegedly he had been assaulted by his mother’s husband, David Eason. Following Jace’s accusations, David shared a few photos telling people they do not understand their relationship.
Due to ongoing legal issues between Jenelle and her mother, Barbara told Jace she could not pick him up but contacted the authorities, revealing she had heard from her grandson. When Jace was located, authorities reportedly found numerous marks on his person. He was then transported to a local hospital, where he received care until his release on Tuesday.
What’s Next For Teen Mom Jenelle & Jace?
Until now, both Jenelle Evans and David Eason have denied all claims against them. Jenelle repeatedly stated that Jace was not removed from her custody and that David did not assault her son.
Today, David and Jenelle have remained silent about Jace being placed in Barbara’s custody. They have shared a few “family style photos” revealing that their other children, Kaiser and Ensley, are both still under their custody and being cared for.
Many of Jenelle Evans’s Teen Mom followers are not buying Jenelle’s recent attempt to look like the doting mother. They feel she is trying too hard, making her look desperate.
