Did MTV go too far for drama between Maci Bookout and Farrah Abraham on Teen Mom OG? (MTV)
“Teen Mom OG” fans noticed one big thing during Monday’s all new episode, MTV seemed to do everything they could to start drama between Maci Bookout and Farrah Abraham.
Did MTV Go Too Far To Push Drama Between Maci Bookout and Farrah Abraham on ‘Teen Mom OG?’
Of course, fans know that Maci Bookout was so mad when it was announced Farrah Abraham would be returning to “Teen Mom OG” that she decided to quit the show. Later, Maci agreed to return to the reality series, but wouldn’t allow cameras to film her 6-year-old son Bentley.
Maci maintained that she had no personal issues with Farrah, but that she didn’t think it was appropriate for Bentley to be on a show with someone who had worked in the adult sex industry.
During Monday’s episode, all four of the girls, including Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood, reunited in New York for the first time in years and there was awkwardness between Bookout and Abraham, but that’s only because Farrah had no idea about Maci’s strong reaction to the news of her return.
However, MTV took care of that real fast. After the network got their press photos of all four of the girls together they decided to release the first “Teen Mom OG” trailer, which shows Bookout’s reaction to Abraham’s return. Later, when Farrah was doing her solo interview producers showed her the trailer and it was obvious Farrah was not happy about it.
Fans Think MTV Set Maci Up — And She Agrees!
Later when the cast sat down to lunch together Farrah’s anger boiled over and she confronted Maci about her reaction. Bookout tried to explain herself in a calm way, but Abraham wouldn’t let her get a word in edgewise. Producers then took both girls into a private room to try and hash out their problems, but Maci got fed up with Farrah’s constantly talk to her and not letting her share her feelings on the situation. So, Maci decided to leave.
While the episode was airing Maci was tweeting her thoughts about MTV pushing the drama between herself and her co-star. “#MTV asking way too much from a pregnant girl. #foolmeonce,” Maci tweeted. “Not really liking how MTV basically set Maci up. She’s pregnant and that was stress she didn’t need,” one fan commented. “Yupp,” Bookout replied in agreement.
“It seems like @MTV set Maci up with this whole Farrah mess,” another viewer tweeted. “I’d say I agree,” the “Teen Mom” replied.
Will MTV pushing drama between Maci Bookout and Farrah Abraham cause problems between Maci and the network? Is it possible that Bookout won’t return for a second season of “Teen Mom OG?”
We now have to wonder if the show which started off documenting the lives of young teenage mothers is being turned in to what Maci described as the “Real Housewives of Teen Mom OG.”
