Texas Man Dumps Scalding Soup On Girlfriend Twice His Age Because She Wouldn’t Stop Talking: ‘He Gone’

A Texas man found himself in jail last week after he poured scalding hot soup on his elderly girlfriend. Alexander Alton McDavid, 35, was taken into custody for assaulting his 67-year-old girlfriend. McDavid claimed that his partner was simply talking too much, so he dumped the hot soup on her, which caused third-degree burns on her body.

Alexander Alton McDavid of Waco, Texas is now facing charges for his actions, including injury to the elderly, assault with bodily injury, continuous violence against family, terror threat of family and resisting arrest. He also has a previous conviction, per Law and Crime.

According to reports, McDavid got angry at his girlfriend for talking too much. At the time of the altercation, the victim was heating soup in the microwave when McDavid swiped at the plate and caused the soup to spill on her. She was later treated for third-degree burns on her shoulder and arm. Unfortunately, because the 67-year-old woman had no phone or car, she was unable to contact the police at the time of the crime.

Days after the incident, she left her home to attend an appointment and stopped at the police station to file a report. At the time, officers took her statement and photographed her injuries. While speaking with the cops, the victim revealed that McDavid began abusing her after they moved in together. She confirmed that they’d been dating for about a year, and that he had allegedly choked her int he past. However, she didn’t contact the police.

“I feel like he’s been on here before,” one person wrote via Facebook.

“He gone,” another stated.

“This is a very sad situation. It seems clear that this man was using this much older woman for money, shelter, ect. He saw a vulnerable person and took advantage of her. Glad he’s behind bars,” another comment read.

Following the complaint, McDavid was arrested and taken into custody. He’s being held at the McLennan County Jail on $130,000 bond.
