That 90s Show is one Netflix series that fans were itching to watch. This is because it’s a spin-off of the fan-favorite series That 70s Show. Now, fans finally get to see what happened to their favorite characters from the original series, as well as meet a new generation of Pointe Place teens.

In the first episode of That 90s Show, fans see Kitty and Red Forman at their home in Wisconsin. It’s summer and Kitty is excited to see her son, Eric and his family. Eric arrives home to be smothered with affection from his mother, who also gushes over his teenage daughter Leia. Yes, Leia was named after Princess Leia in Star Wars. Meanwhile, Donna offers some comic relief by dragging in all of the luggage on her own.

That 90s Show revealed a peek into Eric and Donna’s adult lives

During the first few moments of the show, it’s revealed that Eric and Donna are married and raising Leia in Chicago. They planned to spend the Fourth of July with Red and Kitty before Eric and Leia jet off to space camp. During family time together, fans learn that Donna is a writer and recently released a new book. Meanwhile, Eric is a professor who teaches students all about his favorite thing — Star Wars!

When Leia meets the local teens she decides she wants to stay with Red and Kitty for the summer. She also develops a crush on Jay, who is later revealed to be the son of other than Michael Kelso. Kelso shows up at the Formans and seemingly hasn’t changed a bit. That’s when Jackie follows behind and is also exactly the same. She bosses Kelso around and he doesn’t seem to mind it. The two then reveal that they’re getting remarried yet again.

Fez, Leo, Bob, Jackie, and Kelso also made appearances

Meanwhile, Fez is also still living in Pointe Place. He’s a bit of a local celebrity as he runs his own chain of beauty salons and is seen in commercials. He’s also dating the mother of Leia’s new friends Nate and Gwen. He seems like he’s ready to settle down but unsure about how to figure out his life.

That 90s Show also revealed that the lovable Leo is also still kicking around town and doing his own thing. He even filmed an audition tape for The Real World. He interacts with Leia and her pals a few times, which is obviously hilarious. However, there was one character from That 70s show that the series didn’t touch on. Bob also makes a cameo for Leia’s birthday and reveals he’s been living in Florida.

There was no mention of Danny Masterson’s Hyde

There was no mention of Steven Hyde. While Hyde was a huge fan-favorite among That 70s Show fans, he was involved in the spin-off. This is likely because actor Danny Masterson has been involved in some serious legal drama over the past few years (via People). The show didn’t mention Hyde at all, and he wasn’t seen in any flashbacks.

While That 90s Show is all about the new generation of teens in the Forman’s basement, it was nice to catch up with the 70s Show characters as well. Now, here’s hoping for a Season 2 of the series.
