Rock band to end 45-year-run
The Allman Brothers Band has confirmed that they will be embarking on their final concert tour before retiring after 45 years in the music business.
In early spring The Allman Brothers Band were forced to cancel a number of concerts after lead singer and band founder Gregg Allman battled a bout of bronchitis.
The final four shows in NYC have been rescheduled with a couple of added shows.
The Allman Brothers Band released a press statement that reveals that this run of concerts will be the last for The Allman Brothers Band,revealing that the band will not continue on after the departures of guitarists Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes.

The Allman Brothers Band rock band was first formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1969 by brothers Duane Allman (slide guitar and lead guitar) and Gregg Allman (vocals, organ, songwriting), as well as Dickey Betts (lead guitar, vocals, songwriting), Berry Oakley (bass guitar), Butch Trucks (drums), and Jai Johanny “Jaimoe” Johanson (drums).
