The Bachelorette 2017 is just getting started, but one contestant is already making a big splash. In the Season 13 premiere, one of Rachel’s friends, and former Bachelor co-stars, told her that one of the men, DeMario Jackson, may not be on the show for the right reasons, and new information may back up those claims.

According to Life & Style, one of DeMario’s friends reveals that he didn’t even apply to appear on The Bachelorette and possibly fall in love with Rachel Lindsay. In fact, DeMario was actually recruited by one of the show’s producer when they met at a Chipotle. “He didn’t apply. It came out of nowhere for him,” the insider says.

However, that doesn’t mean that DeMario isn’t interested in falling for Rachel. The source goes on to say that Jackson was excited about the opportunity to be on television and fall in love during the process. “He was like, ‘Cool. Sounds like a great opportunity,’” the insider says, adding that DeMario is a huge sports fan just like Rachel Lindsay. “I’m sure they’d be a great fit!” the source said.
