The Book Of Boba Fett will be directed by Robert Rodriguez who you might remember has directed a lot of family-friendly movies such as Spy Kids and We Can Be Heroes. However, Rodriguez has never forgotten his roots in gritty genre territory. This is something that will without a doubt be incorporated into The Book Of Boba Fett.

It is not really a big surprise that the man responsible for movies such as Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn, Sin City, Machete, and Alita: Battle Angel would be more than capable of making a mark in the Star Wars universe. Rodriguez reportedly only took the job to help a long-time friend Jon Favreau after his original choice for the job dropped out. However, it seems that he fell in love with the project, and is now executive producing and directing many episodes of The Book Of Boba Fett.

It only seems natural that an action-packed crime thriller set in the Star Wars universe would be right up Rodriguez’s alley. According to We Got This Covered, stun performer Brendan Wayne says that the series will have more of an edge than that of Disney+’s other hit Star Wars series, The Mandalorian.

New details about ‘The Book Of Boba Fett’

“I think that’s what we as an audience, I think, are going to get from The Book of Boba Fett. A lot more of that kinda feel. He gets even grittier than Mando did. I feel like he doesn’t have the choice because he really was a different kind of character.” said Brendan.

Boba Fett is just so much more of a ruthless person than the Mando. Boba was personally trained and raised by legendary bounty hunter Jango Fett who was well known for his Jedi killing abilities. For those of you who don’t know, Jango Fett was the template for the Republic’s clone army in the prequel trilogy. Jango asked in return for an unaltered clone he could call his son and that clone happened to be Boba Fett.

After Jango’s death on Geonosis by the hand of Jedi Master Mace Windu Boba followed in his father’s footsteps and became a bounty hunter and later in his life became known as the best bounty hunter in the galaxy. He was used multiple times by the Galactic Empire and Jabba The Hutt, a gangster that lived on the desert planet of Tatooine. Boba was called into action when Luke Skywalker was about to be executed but swiftly turned the tides and started attacking Jabba’s men. Boba was presumed dead as he had fallen into the Sarlacc Pit.

But little did anyone know Boba had survived thanks to his Mandalorian armor and escaped into the galaxy only to return in The Mandalorian season two. It will be very interesting to see how “dark” things could possibly get in The Book Of Boba Fett. All we know for now is that we are all excited to see our favorite bounty hunter back in action.
