After the all-out Battle between Homerlander and Soldier Boy at the end of Season 3 of The Boys. We see Soldier Boy being put back to sleep in a new secure sight. Supernatural star Jensen Ackles, AKA Soldier Boy has stated many times he would like to return in future seasons. With the news of Akcles former co-worker Jeffery Dean Morgan playing a character in Season 4 is just another reason for Soldier Boy to make another appearance.
What Does Ackles Know?
When asked about the likelihood of Soldier Boy appearing in The Boys’ Gen V spinoff series Ackles was hesitant to say too much. Although he did tease a return to Prime Video’s hit by saying his character is in fact not dead. “There are some things out there. I’m not allowed to give anything out, but we’ll just say that Soldier Boy is not dead. Thank God.” as reported by ScreenRant.com.
The reveal that Homelander is actually Soldier Boy’s son is something The Boys can’t just ignore. That is how they can work Jensen back into the story. The father-son dynamic between Homelander and Soldier Boy could make for a very interesting plot for Season 4. This could bring Ackles in for a more leading role, or they could effectively kill off his character. Jensen Ackles has hinted that he will be returning but he did not say in what capacity or for how long.
The Drama between Homlander and his father would be very interesting to see. The addition of Jeffery Dean Morgan, who is set to play an unknown character is also something to look at. Ackles and Morgan were both in Supernatural, Morgan playing Ackles’s TV Dad. All of these returning characters plus Morgan and possibly other’s new characters may mean we will see some big deaths this season.
The Return Of Soldier Boy
It would not be a big surprise if we see some superpowered deaths in Season 4. Is any character truly safe? It will be very interesting to see what will happen and what characters will be in Season 4. As for now, we will all have to wait and see as no date for Season 4 has been set. One thing is for certain though. That would be that this next season of The Boys is sure to be very exciting. With Jensen Ackles possibly returning and Jeffery Dean Morgan confirmed. We Can Not Wait for Season 4 of The Boys!
