The Cleveland Cavaliers Have just traded for Charis LeVert but they are far from done trying to make deals with teams that have players they want. The Cleveland Cavaliers have put together an offer for the Boston Celtics’ backup point guard Dennis Schroder.

Schroder is a solid player off the bench that can score at will and pass when needed. He is more of a ball-dominant player who makes plays for himself off the dribble which could possibly throw off the Cavalier’s balance as this team plays very unselfishly especially so with the second unit. If the Cavaliers trade for Dennis Schroder they should not give up to many pieces.

“If the Cavs were to acquire Schroder for that price, the deal would seem like a huge win. Rajon Rondo has been decent so far for Cleveland, but the team could definitely use a player like Schroder. Schroder and LeVert could spend lots of time on the floor together if the Cavs end up trading for the former first-round pick. So far this season, Schroder is averaging 14.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game on 43.8 percent shooting from the field and 34.9 percent shooting from 3-point range.” according to Cavaliers Nation.com.

The package that the Cavaliers put together for Dennis Schroder consists of Kevin Pangos, Ed Davis, and Dylan Windler, with draft compensation that would still get the Celtics to $1 million south of the tax line.

Can the Cavs land Dennis Schroder?

Dennis Schroder has playoff experience as he was with the Los Angeles Lakers during their 2019-2020 campaign and could maybe bring some of that experience to Cleveland where the young players are about to experience playoff basketball for the first time. If The Cavaliers could make this work they could really push themselves to be a top team in the NBA and prove themselves with a deep playoff run.

If the Cavs can pull off this trade they could really be a scary team to face in the playoffs. A bunch of young players looking to prove themselves with nothing to lose is a very scary thing for a so-called “super team” like the Lakers or the Nets.

The Cavaliers pose a real threat and the NBA has yet to really notice this team who is the youngest in the league by far with a starting lineup of players in their early twenties. The stock is rising in Cleveland. Are you investing?
