The Circle Season 5 has been interesting, to say the least. All of the contestants are playing up their single status, whether it’s true or not. In addition, there have been some very compelling catfish. The most lovable has definitely been Jennifer, who is being played by the first two contestants to be blocked. Brett and Xanthi were blocked on night one but given a second chance to be a catfish in the former of a middle-aged woman named Jennifer.
Other Catfish like Bruno and Brittany also tried their best to fool the rest of the gang. However, The Circle Season 5’s most surprising catfish was also a former contestant. Shubham delighted fans during Season 1 when he appeared as a nerdy contestant with a dislike for social media. Shubham played as himself and won over viewers and the rest of The Circle crew as well. Although he didn’t win, he did end up coming in second place.
The Circle Season 5 saw the return of Shubham
So, during Season 5, Shubham was given another shot to win the reality TV social media game. Shubham, or “Shooby” was forced to be a catfish in the game as a late arrival. He was given a profile of a young woman named Sasha. However, things didn’t go well for him. Not only was he put in the awful position of being forced to block someone right off of the bat, but Shooby also had to defend himself for his actions. This made Sasha one of the least popular players. Sadly, the first chance the influencers had to block Sasha, they did.
Of course, Shubham being the positive person he is, decided to give Jennifer a special power before leaving The Circle. Brett and Xanthi were thrilled to meet the real Sasha and discover that she was actually Shubham. Of course, the real Shubham likely wouldn’t have been blocked so quickly.
Should more former Circle contestants return?
Even if The Circle Season 5 didn’t want to bring Shubham back as himself, they could have given him a better catfish profile. Perhaps someone more like himself so that he could prove being himself would win the game.
Although Shubbham and Sasha weren’t long for The Circle, fans were happy to see him return. In fact, it may be interesting to see more former players come back in future seasons. Maybe they could even find a twist to bring fan-favorite contestants back as themselves or catfish who work together.
Hopefully, fans haven’t seen the last of Shubham in The Circle Season 5.
