The Cleveland Cavaliers: Has This Young Team Finally Woke Up?

The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a very rough start to the young season. Some may even call it a nightmare. Many key players such as Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell, Jarrett Allen, Caris LeVert, and Isaac Okoro missed multiple games with injuries. Now, after winning three straight games the Cavs may be starting to wake up. Hollywood News Daily is here to take a deeper dive into the Cleveland Cavaliers’ season.

Here Come The Cavs!

Coming off a three-game win streak Cleveland yet again has the challenge of taking on one of the league’s best teams without super-star Donovan Mitchell. The Philadelphia 76ers are coming to Cleveland for an in-season tournament game. Luckily, the Cavaliers still have Darius Garland. A big reason for this small win streak is because of how well DG has played. While the young point guard had a slow start to the season he is quickly returning to form from being injured.

Darius Garland has found his shot as he is shooting 36% from the three-point line in his last three games. With help from the Cleveland Cavaliers’ new additions such as Max Strus, the Cavs can take down any team even without Spida. Just a few nights ago Cleveland dismantled the defending champion Denver Nuggets. A Garland that is consistently hitting threes is a huge part of Cleveland’s offense.

Allen Is The Anchor

Jarrett Allen has also been a big part of the Cavs’ recent success. Cleveland started off the season 2-3 with Allen on the sideline. They are now 5-3 since he rejoined the team according to Sportsillustrated.com. Allen brings so much to the court every night. From his offensive ability to the way, he defends the rim and grabs rebounds. Jarrett has the highest offensive rating on the Cleveland Cavaliers at 117.0.

Is there still room to improve? Absolutely there is. The Cavs still are not completely healthy as Mitchell and Okoro remain out with LeVert considered day-to-day. Cleveland still needs to find their consistency as well. They are heading in the right direction though. This young team has so much potential if they can just stay healthy.

The moves they made in the offseason as well as drafting Emoni Bates were the best moves they could make. They went out and got exactly what they needed. A shooter and Strus, a solid bench player in Niang, and an up-and-coming rookie with Bates. The Cleveland Cavaliers are coming! Once Mitchell returns Cleveland has what they need to go on a big run.
