The Duggars Adding Child No. 20 The Their Family!

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are adding another child to their already huge family. The couple, who currently have 19 children, will be adding number 20!

According to In Touch Magazine, the child is a boy and is the 8-year-old son of Michelle’s niece, Rachel Hutchins. Rachel, 23, has reportedly been struggling to care for the young boy. She’s reportedly homeless, unemployed, and has a lot of financial issues and problems with the law to deal with. Cue, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

Public records confirm that the Duggars have been named the official guardian of the little boy, and have been for awhile now. However, in November they’re due back in court in hopes of making the guardianship permanent. “There’s a strong hope that once that happens they will be able to adopt him,” an insider revealed.

Adoption In The Works For Jim Bob and Michelle?

Rachel has signed the papers to give the Duggars guardianship after her own mother was unable to care for her son. “She gave up custody of her son [in August 2015] to her mother, Michelle’s sister Carolyn. But in July, Carolyn suffered a stroke,” adds the insider. The father of the little boy is not listed on the birth certificate and is undetermined via court papers.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar plan to keep the little boy off of TV, so fans who watch “Jill & Jessa: Counting On” will likely never get to meet the new addition to the Duggar family. If the adoption goes through, this will be the 20th Duggar child for Jim Bob and Michelle, who have 19 biological children together.
