The Last Of Us is a huge hit and it always has been. Now, according to new remarks from executive producer Craig Mazin, HBO’s TLOU will go for at least 3 Seasons. “It’s going to be more than one season. There’s more story, so this show will not end with season 2 unless people don’t watch it and we’ll get canceled.” according to ComingSoon.net.
TLOU Season 3?
Continuing, Mazin discusses whether or not the HBO show should remain 100% faithful to the game. “Barring that, we will be doing some things exactly the way they were in the game. We’re going to do other things that are in the game and we’re gonna do some things that are in the game but we’re gonna do them differently in our own method. No matter if you have played the game or not. You will be surprised as the season unfolds. We have some interesting twists and turns.”
Recently, the hit drama series scored big with 24 Emmy nominations. The Last Of Us is up for some big categories such as Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor for Pedro Pascal’s performance as Joel, and Outstanding Lead Actress for Bella Ramsey’s portrayal of Ellie. Guest stars Anna Torv, Melanie Lynskey, Nick Offerman, Murray Bartlett, Storm Reid, Keivonn Montreal Woodard, and Lamar Johnson are also all up for their own categories.
The live-action series takes place 20 years after the fall of modern civilization. Joel and Ellie, a pair of survivors must now endure infected, raiders, and deadly survivors as they make their way across a post-apocalyptic United States. Joel and Ellie must learn to work together if they have any hopes of making it to their destination.
Season 2 will follow the events of The Last Of Us Part 2. Set for January, Season 2 is executive produced and co-written by Craig Mazin and original game writer Neil Druckmann. Druckmann is also working as a director. HBO’s The Last of Us is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television as TLOU is a PlayStation-exclusive game.

Joel and Ellie’s adventure and father-daughter relationship is valued as one of the best ever. Fans all over the world can not wait for Season 2.
