The Last Of Us Part 2, is a game that was released just three years ago. TLOU Part 2 was a game loved and hated by many, but overall it was accepted pretty well. With the release of HBO’s The Last Of Us, popularity for the franchise shot back up thanks to Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey’s amazing job as Joel and Ellie. HBO Max, (now just Max) and Niel Druckmann did a fantastic job and the franchise will get even more love when the second season drops in a few years.
What Is Next For TLOU?
Fans are also still waiting on any news about the TLOU multiplayer spin-off game as well as any hints on The Last Of Us Part 3. Although there is not any news about those two games, fans may be getting some new content sooner than they expected. In a recent interview, TLOU composer, Gustavo Santaolalla was told fans loved seeing his character in the game. According to ComicBook.com, Santaolalla can be found outside a building in Jackson playing the banjo with a dog beside him.
That is as far as the interaction goes, but that may change soon. In the interview, Gustavo says that in a new version of the game, players will be able to request songs from his character. However, he then stated that he can not say anything else beyond that.
Taking this information into account, it seems that a The Last Of Us Part 2 remake may be in the works at Naughty Dog Studios. It is unlikely that we will get a full remake like we did for Part 1, but we might get some updated graphics and new dialogue.
It is also possible that Santaolalla slipped up and was talking about a cameo in the multiplayer game or The Last Of Us Part 3. There have been some whispers emerging of TLOU Part 3 being in the early stages of development at Naughty Dog. It will be very interesting to see what comes of this possible ”leak”.
