Is The Last Of Us Part 3 on the way? With the hype for HBO’s The Last Of Us series higher than ever news surrounding Naughty Dog’s former game of the year. There are two installments of The Last Of Us already out and playable. However, the fans want more of Ellie and her adventures. Now it seems they might get it sooner than they thought.

Earlier today the same leaker that said that Ashley Johnson would play Ellie’s mom in The Last Of Us TV series and leaked the existence of Crash Bandicoot 4 shared new info. The informant stated via Twitter that The Last Of Us part 3 is under development. The source added that the game will be up next for Neil Druckmann.

The Last Of Us Part 3 information leaks via Twitter

These leaks have come from Twitter user ViewerAnon. So far they have a very good track record. The informant has been very credible with their leaks in the past. ViewerAnon jokingly stated if he was not invited to the presser for HBO’s The Last Of Us adaptation that he would “Drop the scoop” (via TheGamer). However, this was no joke as he was not invited. So the social media user did in fact drop the scoop. The source tweeted that Druckmann’s next game would be The Last Of Us part 3 and that it is already under development. This information has fans going crazy. They’re even already forming theories about part 3’s potential plot and characters. Some fans are worried that the game will not fully focus on Ellie like part 2 did. That aspect of The Last Of Us part 2 was not very well-liked in the community. Meanwhile, it was for good reason as Abby was one of the main reasons for Joel’s untimely death that left fans in shambles.

With the ending of The Last Of Us Part 2 was fairly open-ended, it makes sense that there would be another installment in the series. Although, no one thought news and rumors of Part 3 would be circulating this soon. 

The Last Of Us Is A Gaming Classic

The Last Of Us was an instant classic in the gaming world upon its release. With its movie-like cut-scenes and horror-themed stealth, it was in some ways ahead of its time in the gaming industry. The timing was also perfect for a “Zombie” game. It was released when AMC’s The Walking Dead was in its prime. 

With the limited information on a possible The Last Of Us Part 3, it is hard to put too much thought into if this is legitimate or not but we can all hope it is as Ellie needs to continue her journey in her dangerous and beautiful world.
