A little over a decade ago Naughty Dog games studio set out to make a revolutionary game. The Last Of US part one was revealed at E3 back in 2012 and then was finally released in 2013. The game went on to win the game of the year award as well as being remastered for the PS4 in 2014.
Fast forward some years and The Last Of Us part two is released for the PS5 and looks amazing. Fans thought the story could have been a lot better but for the most part, the game was a success.
Now in the year 2022, it has been confirmed that The Last Of Us part one is going to be remade. This remake is set to be released on September 2 of this year so in a few days of the time, this article is written. As far as this remake will go it will be a slip of a massive touch-up and a wholesome rework.
How will this affect the game?
In terms of story and world design, most of the original game will be preserved like puzzles, enemies, and even the same codes for the many locked safes around the map.
The last of us is known for its beautiful backdrops and in-depth storytelling. The gritty post-apocalyptic scenery is really something to behold and is a great way for the player to feel like they are truly in that world and feel a real bond with the characters. Imagine all the beautiful backdrops and cutscenes from the original game.
Now image them all in 4K high definition. It also seems that the game will be much better with lighting to make the cutscenes even darker and grittier than they were before.
What will the fans think?
With the millions of fans that The Last Of Us franchise has acquired over its long life the feedback for this remake, we would imagine will be pretty positive. Some fans are confused about why Naughty Dog would not just go on and make the third installment of the series instead of remaking a game that has already been remastered and that is a solid point.
With the TV series set to come out on HBO Max next year starring Pedro Pascal as Joel, it seems like the perfect time to get fans and maybe some new fans back into the series. As we draw ever closer to the release date the hype and the rumors are at an all-time high and we can not wait until we can get our hands on The Last Of Us part one remake set to b released on September 2, 2022.
