The Last of Us Season 2 is making a lot of noise right now for its bold moves. However, after a shocking twist for those who have not played the video games, another shocking development has occurred. Spoilers are ahead for TLOU season two as well as part two of the video game series. The sighting of a new group walking through what was once the busy city of Seattle, the Seraphites can be seen with scars all over their faces. However, many fans who have not played the games are wondering what this new group is like.

Mashable states that The Last of US Season 1 saw the struggle between the Fireflies and FEDRA. However, the military is nowhere to be seen, and the Fireflies were basically all killed by Joel (Pedro Pascal). So, Season two of TLOU will have some new players on the board. This cult-like group, also referred to as the “Scars,” will be one of those players. Viewers have already met Abby and learned a little of what her group is about. However, these Scars and Abby’s group, called the Washington Liberation Front (W.L.F.), are in an ongoing war with one another.

The Scars are a problem in the game. They are very unforgiving to those who do not follow their religion. This group follows the teaching of their “prophet,” who, by the events of TLOU, is already deceased. The Scars are a cult that follows these teachings blindly. They also use pretty simple weapons like a bow and arrow or other common melee weapons like a hammer. The war with Abby’s W.L.F. seems to be a border dispute as the Scars have attempted to expand off of their small island.

The first meeting with these characters in live-action comes towards the end of The Last of Us Season 2 episode three. Fans see a party of Scars moving through the overgrown forests that cover the streets of Seattle. While this group is extremely violent, they still have their own morals. They keep children around and even have their own alarm systems. However, by the time Ellie and Dina stumble upon the small party, they have already been killed by Abby’s group.

The Scars will be prominently shown off throughout the duration of The Last of Us Season 2. They are a recurring enemy in the game, as well as being crucial to the story. It will be very interesting to see how the Scars will interact with the already established characters. However, for now, fans will just have to sit back and watch how everything unfolds.
