The Last Of Us Season 2 will not have another special episode for side characters like season one did. In season one we saw that episode three was completely about the characters Bill and Frank. This will not happen in the next season and it is good news for the main character, Ellie. Season two will be telling the story of The Last Of Us Part 2. In the game, Ellie Williams is the main character as she fights her way through the infected and the living to get her revenge.
Bella In The Spotlight
With Bella Ramsey getting their time in the spotlight in the upcoming season, Ellie will have to make some tough choices as she copes with the reality of what Joel’s choices created in the first season. The wedge between Ellie and Joel will be a big plot point according to ScreenRant.com. It is a big deal in TLOU Part 2 and is one of the driving forces in the game’s outcome.
The Last Of Us Season 2’s decision to stick to the main story every episode just makes sense. As much as we all loved Bill and Frank’s story, having something like that in season two just doesn’t make sense. At this point in the story, fans are connected to Joel and Ellie. To take a detour from those characters now would really slow the story down for the fans. TLOU Part 2 is already a much longer and more complicated story than Part 1. That is why there are talks of splitting it into two seasons.
Season one was still setting up this post-apocalyptic world, Bill and Frank’s episode helped the viewers get the picture of this collapsing society. It showed how difficult this new world can be and how it is important to have at least one other person you can trust. It showed how tragic and unforgiving the TLOU franchise can be, and that will be important going into future seasons.
Fans Can’t Wait For Season Two!
Season two does not need that kind of world-building, it is the right call by Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin to stay with the main cast and story. Anything else would just be a distraction from the story they are telling. Fans are very excited for The Last Of Us Season 2. Seeing Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey back on screen together will be a sight to see. But for right now, we still have to wait.
