Din Djarin looking on

The Mandalorian Season 3! With everything going on in the galaxy far far away, there might have been a big moment casually looked over! In the newest installment of the hit Disney Plus series, we find Pirates attacking the planet of Nervarro. Grief Karga quickly calls The New Republic for aid. During this scene, we see a New Republic ranger at his outpost.

Sitting next to him is none other than Zeb Orrelios! Zeb is a beloved character from the animated show, Star Wars Rebels. Rebels follow a rag-tag rebel cell known as the Ghost crew as they fight the evil Empire. You can see the lovable Lasat as shown here via Twitter thanks to Mashable.com. Fans were so excited to see Zeb’s live-action debut as it was very unexpected to see a member of the famous Ghost crew so casually.

What Could This Cameo Mean?

What could this cameo mean in the long run for The Mandalorian Season 3? The main theory is that this could symbolize the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn! Thrawn was the big bad in Star Wars Rebels. He will also be featured in the upcoming Ahsoka Tano show as well.

Another Theory that Zeb’s appearance may be hinting at involves another member of the Ghost crew. At the end of episode 5 of The Mandalorian Season 3 we see an abandoned Imperial shuttle. As said by the New Republic ranger that specific shuttle was holding Moff Gideon. Inside the shuttle, viewers can see remains of Mandalorian steel.

This along with Zeb showing up has made fans believe that Sabine Wren may have been reasonable for the disappearance of Moff Gideon. This would also be a big tie-in to the Ahsoka series as Sabine is confirmed to be in the show. What could they want with Moff Gideon? Could this be their lead to finding Grand Admiral Thrawn?

Grand Admiral Thrawn Connections?

In Sabine and Ahsoka’s hunt for the young Jedi, Ezra Bridger Thrawn is a huge piece of the puzzle. Ezra was last seen being shot off into the unknown regions of the galaxy with the Grand Admiral. The path to Ezra goes through Thrawn!

With these hints could Disney be trying to tie everything together? Star Wars is a very complicated story as everything is connected by one thing or another. As George Lucas once said “Star Wars rhymes”. Things are starting to heat up as we all await the next episode of The Mandalorian Season 3! The Mandalorian is streaming on Disney Plus with new episodes on Wednesdays!
