The Masked Singer will crown it’s winner this week, and while many fans believe they know who is behind the monster, bee, and peacock costumes, the judge will reportedly be blown away by the identity of the winner.
According to The Wrap, The Masked Singer executive producer, Craig Plestis, recently revealed that none of the four judges, Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger, guessed the identity of the winner during the entire time the show was filming.
The Masked Singer winner stumped judges all season long
“The funny thing is, no one ever guessed the winner the whole time. No one ever guessed who the winner was,” Craig told the outlet.
During The Masked Singer‘s TCA panel, Robin Thicke also admitted that he was “completely blown away” by the identity of the winner, and that he couldn’t believe that none of the judges had figured it out.
“You would think that by the last episode after seeing five or so performances from each person that you would have them pegged, and yet on the final performance, I was completely blown away by the last show. And I was way off,” Robin stated, adding that he thought “for sure” that he knew who the winner would be — but that he “wasn’t even close.”
There are three performers left on the show, and they’re all vying to be named the Season 1 champion. The bee, the peacock, and the monster will go head to head with one another in hopes of making it to the very end before having to shed their elaborate masks and show the world their true identities.
Judges had a lot of guesses
Judges and fans have guessed that the bee could be Gladys Knight, but others such as Anita Baker, Diana Ross, and Tina Turner have also been guessed by judges. While the peacock has been speculated to be Donny Osmond by fans and by Jenny McCarthy. David Hasselhoff, Neil Patrick Harris, and more have also been guessed by the panelist.
Meanwhile, the monster’s identity has been harder of the panel of judges to figure out. They’ve named an array of people such as Darius Rucker, Tommy Davidson, CeeLo Green, and more.
However, fans believe that they have the lovable performer pegged as rapper T-Pain, and since none of the judges have yet to guess the Florida rapper, many believe that the monster will be the singer named the winner of Season 1.
The Masked Singer winner will be revealed Wednesday night on Fox.
