- ‘The Masked Singer’ revealed the identities of The Snow Owls on Wednesday.
- The unmasking was the show’s first double elimination.
- The Popcorn and The Sun made it through to the semi-finals.
The Masked Singer unmasked not one, but two, people this week when The Snow Owls were eliminated from the competition. The pair were revealed to be none other than Clint Black and his wife, Lisa Hartman Black. During the episode, the duo went head to head against The Popcorn and The Sun, who have both moved on to the “super six” semi-finals.
During the episode, The Sun moved on to the semi-finals early, leaving the Snow Owls to have a smackdown round with The Popcorn, who ended up beating them.
Most of the Masked Singer judges were stumped by the Snow Owls
The judges were a bit confused about the identities of the duo. The judges, Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy, and Ken Jeong, along with guest judge, Niecy Nash, all had different opinions about who could be under the masks.
Some of the guesses include Vince Neil and his wife Amy Grant, Lisa Rinna and her hubby, Harry Hamlin, and Maureen McCormick and Barry Williams from The Brady Bunch.
However, Nicole put the clues together with the voices and figured out that country superstar Clint Black was behind the male Snow Owl, leaving his gorgeous wife, Lisa Hartman to be his duet partner.
Nicole Scherzinger guessed correctly
Once the couple were revealed, they revealed their love for their elaborate costumes. They also gushed over how nice the judges were with their kind words and guesses, joking that they were nothing like former American Idol baddie, Simon Cowell.
The unmasking marks the end of the Group A competition. The Sun and The Popcorn will now join whichever singers come out of Group B and C to join them in the super six before competing to make it to the finals.
There are more epic battles to come
Over the next few weeks, viewers will watch as fan favorites such as The Seahorse, The Serpent, Mushroom, Jellyfish, Broccoli, The Crocodile, and all the rest battle it out in hopes of moving on to the semi-finals to be able to get a chance to sing their way into the finals and take home the golden mask.
As previously reported by Hollywood News Daily, the show will air a special Thanksgiving night episode.
The Masked Singer airs new episodes every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. on FOX.
