The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond got an unexpected visitor in her kitchen this week while she was filming her Food Network show. While cooking up a storm, a large rat could be seen running around the floor, prompting the TV personality to scream in fear.
The moment was caught on camera, and Ree opted to share it with her adoring fans via Instagram this week. Although the episode won’t air until this weekend, the funny moment is likely one that the chef won’t soon forget.

According to The Sun, the hilarious video started off with Ree instructing her viewers about how to make a bread bowl. As she coated the bowl with butter, the rat could be seen scurrying across the floor
The clip began with Ree, 52, giving instructions on how to make a bread bowl.
As she brushed the inside of the bowl with butter, a large rat was seen running across the floor next to her.
The first person to see the rodent was a male member of Ree’s crew. He screamed out when he caught a glimpse of the rat, prompting The Pioneer Woman herself to also react with a yell after she figured out what was happening.
Other members of the crew also began to react. One person jumped onto the table that Drummond was cooking her meal on. Even her own daughter freaked out and hopped on top of a coffee table. Meanwhile, other staff members ran off the set in fear.
The furry animal definitely threw a wrench into filming. Ree herself told her crew that she didn’t feel good about filming after seeing the rodent.
“I can’t film, you guys. I don’t like rats at all,” Ree stated.
The rat was so big, that one staff member eventually admitted that he thought it could be a rabbit at first glance. However, they tried their best to remedy the situation by using a mop to try to get the animal to run away from set.

Of course, Ree made light of the funny situation, telling her fans via social media that she may be the only host that has ever had such a wacky experience while filming.
“After all, I think I’m the only host on the network that’s had a large pack rat run through the kitchen in the middle of filming a cooking show,” Drummond stated.
Of course, fans couldn’t get enough of the unbelievable video, and began to share their thoughts about the video as well.
