“The Summer I Turned Pretty” Season 2 is currently outshining the original. The penultimate episode was was of the best of the series. Episode 7 started with Belly and Laurel having it out before everything was revealed to the group’s lone mother. After a heated exchange, Laurel sprung into action and did exactly what fans were hoping she’d do all along.

The Summer I Turned Pretty: Belly makes her choice between Conrad and Jeremiah
Laurel was shocked to learn that the Cousins house had been sold and Suzannah’s sister Julia was ready to leave the past behind her. However, after an emotional and raw conversation, Julia agreed to back out of the sale, and the two ultimately convinced Adam to sell his house in Boston and buy the beach house from Julia. It seemed that everything was squared away, except for the love triangle between Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah.
The gang opted for one last night in Cousins as they helped Conrad cram for his final exam in hopes of getting him to pass and transfer to Stanford. The group took their annual summer picture, jumped into the pool for a bit of fun, and then Belly took off with the Fisher boys to get Conrad to school on time. During his exam, Belly and Jeremiah had plenty of time to bond, and that’s exactly what they did.
Fans have a lot to unpack after the episode
Throughout “The Summer I Turned Pretty” Season 2, Belly’s relationship with Conrad played out in flashbacks, while her feelings for Jeremiah were happening in the present. Although she still felt deeply for Conrad, she couldn’t deny her feelings for his younger brother. Finally, after a week of high tension, Belly and Jeremiah gave in by locking lips in a steamy makeout session in the parking lot while waiting for Conrad. Of course, some fans were thrilled as they’ve been wanting Belly to choose Jeremiah all along. “I’m never moving on from this Jeremiah & Belly are perfectttt,” one fan said after watching the episode. “Belly and Jeremiah make each other so happy,” another commented.
Of course, Conrad interrupted the kiss, looking confused and hurt by Belly and Jeremiah’s lip lock. Belly seemed to make it clear that she didn’t want to hurt Jeremiah again, she’d changed, and she and Conrad had both moved on. However, fans (and Steven) know differently. Conrad is still in love with Belly, and now it seems more likely that he’ll keep that fact to himself, especially since his relationship with Jeremiah has been so rocky.
TSITP has been renewed for Season 3
Belly appeared to finally make her choice between Conrad and Jeremiah, choosing the younger Fisher brother as the object of her affection. However, “The Summer I Turned Pretty” has been renewed for Season 3, and fans of the book series know that the intense connection between the three main characters isn’t over just yet.
There is one final episode of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” Season 2, and it is shaping up to be the biggest one of the series. With just one more week to wait for the Season 2 finale, fans are dying to know what will happen between Belly, Jeremiah, and Conrad, and how Belly’s decision will impact the group this time around.
