“The Summer I Turned Pretty” Season 2 was another stunning and entertaining season. Now, fans are missing the Amazon Prime series. However, they haven’t forgotten about it. The rewatch has officially started heading into fall, and a new fan theory about an easter egg has everyone talking.
The Summer I Turned Pretty may have shown us Conrad’s fate
Fans have been drawn to “The Summer I Turned Pretty” TV series and books. The characters have placed an emotional grip on fans’ hearts and with Season 3 ahead, more heartache is sure to lie ahead. However, one Reddit use thinks that they’ve found an easter egg that hints at beloved character Conrad Fisher’s future. (Warning spoilers below!)
During Season 2, before the beach house is packed up, a photo can be seen sitting crooked on top of the mantel above the fireplace. The photo appears to be a snapshot of Conrad and Jeremiah’s father, Adam, playing in the waves with his two young sons. Off to the side, Conrad is visible, standing in a very similar pose, looking like the man in the photo. The Redditor pointed out that the photo may have been placed there as some foreshadowing of Conrad’s future and a hint that he will end up becoming the father of two children himself. Of course, others agreed.
TSITP hinting that Conrad and Belly have two children of their own?
“The Summer I Turned Pretty” book series ends with Belly Conklin makes her final choice between Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher. The books conclude with Belly and Conrad getting together and ultimately getting married, with Jeremiah there to watch. We don’t know what happens after that. However, fans can only assume that Belly and Conrad go on to have a beautiful life filled with love, happiness, and children.
Many fans agreed with the speculation in the post and took to the comments section to share their thoughts. “If I’ve learned anything, in film, nothing is unintentional!” one fan said. “Especially with the dialogue saying ‘in my dream, my future was set,” another commented. “It totally looks like Conrad,” a third person wrote. “The foreshadowing—you might be onto something,” another stated. Meanwhile, others think that the picture is simply imagery revealing that Suzannah is gone and that the Fisher men are on their own in the world now.
“The Summer I Turned Pretty” viewers are now hoping that the so-called easter egg may give some hint at what’s ahead for Conrad and Belly. Maybe fans could also get a flash forward to see a glimpse at the couple’s married life. Maybe even a Season 4? Fingers crossed.
