“The Summer I Turned Pretty” Season 3 has officially been confirmed by Amazon Prime. However, the Hollywood strikes have caused some major issues with filming, release dates, and more. While many shows have been pushed back and filming has yet to resume, a new update will have “TSITP” fans smiling.

Now that the writers and actors strikes are over, filming on TV and movies is headed back into production. While some movies and shows won’t resume their filming until after the first of the year, others are set to pick up immediately. One of those shows is “The Summer I Turned Pretty” Season 3.
That’s right, the cast is headed back to Cousins for the third, and likely final season of the show. The Independent reports that several shows have announced an they’re resuming production quickly, and “TSITP” is one of those projects.

Others include “Deadpool 3,” “Stranger Things” Season 5, “Gladiator 2,” “Beetlejuice 2,” “Euphoria” Season 3,” “The Last of Us” Season 2, and several others.
TSITP S3 Expectations
When fans last saw Belly, she had just chosen to leave her love for Conrad behind her. Instead, she looked ahead to a romance with his younger brother, Jeremiah. Season 2 ended with Belly and Jeremiah happily ready to spend the rest of the summer together before she headed into her senior year of high school. Meanwhile, a time jump is expected in Season 3.
Those who have read the books know that Belly and Jeremiah end up in college together and have a long-term relationship. Meanwhile, Conrad goes off to further his own education. Of course, more drama ensues as Belly’s story with the Fisher brothers is far from over.
Of course, fans will also need updates on the relationship between Belly’s brother, Stephen, and her best friend Taylor. The relationship isn’t depicted in the book series. However, fans have grown very invested in the TV show version of the couple.
When will The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 begin streaming?
“The Summer I Turned Pretty” Season 1 aired during summer 2022. Meanwhile, Season 2 followed suit in summer 2023. However, the strikes could keep Season 3 from returning in 2024. Some speculation has the show coming back sometime in 2025. However, with how quickly the show is getting back into production, fans have high hopes that the new episodes will begin streaming during summer 2024.
