Belly may have grown up thinking that Conrad was the only one for her. However, it’s clear that Jeremiah is making a serious case for himself in the battle for Belly. With each passing episode, he looks like the right choice for the character. Meanwhile, Conrad has hurt Belly, made her cry, and even left her high and dry at her own prom.

Conrad may have an intense love for Belly, but it’s Jeremiah who has been open and honest in communicating his feelings for his lifelong friend. When it comes to having the chemistry, communication, maturity, and guts — Jeremiah seems like the obvious choice for Belly. Of course, fans of The Summer I Turned Pretty books know that Jeremiah is the underdog throughout the entire story. Watching him get hurt in the love triangle with Belly and Conrad is heartbreaking, and he deserves so much better. Seriously, it’s harder to watch than Euphoria‘s Nate, Maddy, and Cassie debacle.
