Alaric meets Elena’s teacher who works at the medical center, and freaks out when he doesn’t know how to talk to her, can calls Elena for help, but she doesn’t answer.
Elena sees a motorist and pretends to be helpful, but actually feeds on her. When Caroline startles her, the woman gets free and runs into Mystic Falls where the vampires can’t follow her to compel her to forget the encounter. Elena tells Caroline about the herbs and seeing Damon.
It’s Matt who first finds the wounded motorist, and gets her to the hospital with some back up from Sheriff Forbes.
