The Vampire Diaries season 5 finale saw the return of one major character, Alaric, played by Matt Davis, TV Guide confirms. Now fans want to know what’s in store for him in season 6.
The Vampire Diaries season 6 spoilers: Alaric is officially back
As everyone, except Damon, traveled back from the other side through Bonnie, who later died and wound up on the other side with Damon, Alaric finally found his way back to the land of the living, and fans are thrilled.
Since being killed off in a very emotional episode in season 3, Alaric has been on the other side, but has made multiple appearances on The Vampire Diaries as a ghost version of the character.
Alaric will be there to guide Elena and Jeremy again
However, now that he’s passed through from the other side, he’s back in Mystic Falls in the flesh, and we are so excited. Besides, Elena and Jeremy really need an adult presence in their lives to help guide them.
Alaric was there to comfort Elena after she said goodbye to Damon in the season 5 finale, and he’s already helping the kids he loved as his own.
Now if we could just get Bonnie and Damon back from the other side somehow, everyone will be present and accounted for…finally. Well, except for Lexi, who chose to fight off Markos and find peace leaving the other side, and the show, forever. (We’ll miss you Lexi!)
