In the new teaser trailer, Caroline reveals that Elena has some sort of “witchy” drug problem, as the drug allows her to see and communicate with her lost love, Damon, who died in the season 5 finale.
The Vampire Diaries season 6 spoilers don’t tell us if Damon will re-enter the land of the living, (although we have our fingers crossed) but rumor has it that Caroline and Stefan will have their own romance this season, which is sure to add to Elena’s pain and stress.
The Vampire Diaries season 6: Jeremy turns to alcohol
Meanwhile, Jeremy is dealing with the loss of his love, Bonnie, who died along with Damon in season 5, by turning to alcohol. With Damon and Bonnie gone, it may be up to Stefan and Caroline to try and pull Elena and Jeremy out of their depression, and substance abuse issues.
