‘Walking Dead’ fans watched two characters bite the dust during the mid-season finale.

The Walking Dead” Season 7 mid-season finale aired on Sunday night, and the Negan drama was pushed to the next level. While fans have been complaining about the lack of drama since the premiere, the mid-season finale set up some really big storylines to come.

During the episode, Negan is inside the walls of Alexandria waiting for Rick to return from scavenging. Rick and Aaron risk their lives to get supplies to give to The Saviors, and do a bit of bonding in the process. Aaron tells Rick that he understands why they need to keep the rest of the group safe from The Saviors.

Meanwhile, Negan’s presence has everyone on edge, and Spencer decides that he’s going to use it to try and get what he wants. As “Walking Dead” fans have been watching, Spencer’s attitude toward Rick has been declining. Spencer wants to be the leader of Alexandria, and tries to butter Negan up to propose the idea. However, Negan doesn’t like the way that Spencer is going about things, and tells him that while he and Rick don’t like each other, at least Rick has guts. Negan then says that Spencer didn’t have the guts to kill Rick and take over Alexandria before cutting open his stomach and spilling his literal guts all over the road in the middle of the community as the rest of the residents watch.
