Fans of “The Wonder Years,” we’ve got bad news for you. Fred Savage, who played Kevin Arnold on the series from 1988-1993 recently revealed that there will never be a reunion of the series.
‘The Wonder Years’: Fred Savage Says There Will Never Be A Reunion
People Magazine reports that Fred Savage was recently asked if he would ever try and create a reunion for “The Wonder Years,” a show about Kevin Arnold growing up in the 1970’s. However, Kevin says it’s not going to happen.
“Zero. Never. The show was about a time in your life. The show was about this finite moment in your life that has a beginning and an end, and I think that’s what makes people long for that time in your life.”
The Age Of Reboots and Spin-Offs
Of course, there have been a lot of reboots, spin-offs, and reunions in the works as of late, including Fred’s own brother, Ben Savage’s show, “Girl Meets World,” which is a sequel series to “Boy Meets World.” Other reboots in the works include “Full House,” “X-Files,” and “Coach.”
“You can’t really go back to it. You can’t all be 12 again, and that’s why that time in our life is so special and why all the memories still stay with us and warm us and haunt us and all those things – because we can’t go back to it,” Fred Savage added.
Meanwhile, Fred has been very busy behind the camera, and even directs many episodes of the hilarious FXX comedy series “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.” He’ll also soon be starring in the new television show “Grinder.”
