The Yellowstone Dutton Family: Civil War Declared During The Mid-Season Finale

The Yellowstone Dutton family is now in a civil war after the mid-season finale of season five. Jamie Dutton has called for the impeachment of the Governor of the state of Montana and his father John Dutton. Although the episode was titled “a Knife and No Coin” it perfectly summed up the first half of the hit show’s newest season.

It seems that John and his daughter Beth are finally moving closer to the end game. After this season seemed like the narrative was stuck in place. With Beth and Jamie in a race to see who can kill the other first things seem to be heating up. 

Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2: How long will the wait be?

For now, we will have to wait until season five returns this summer to see how this crazy sibling rivalry ends. As in the finale moments of the latest episode, Beth and Jamie plan hits on each other. Jamie seems to think that the only way to save the ranch is to take the money that building the airport would give them while Beth seems to have other things in mind to make the ranch more money and keep it intact. There are some very important questions that have yet to be answered in season five although some of them were just raised. First off, who will Jamie hire to kill Beth? Will it go as planned? Second, what will John do about the wolves that were killed on his land? As It is casually brought up by Jamie’s lover Sarah. She could hire someone to make Beth’s death look like an accident. But we can not expect John, Rip, or Kayce to let anything happen to Beth. 

Moving forward, there is still a very pressing matter on top of the impeachment. In one of the earlier episodes of this season, the ranch was having some problems with wolves. Rip then sent out two of the hands to hunt and kill the wolves to ensure the safety of the cattle.

Will someone die in upcoming episodes?

While using a night vision scope the hands shot a pack of wolves that they thought were fair game. Upon a closer look, it was then made clear that the wolves they had just killed were under protection by the State Park. As we all wait for the next part of season five the theories will fly. How John will get out of the mess he is in this time? With the story about the wolves breaking on the local news. John is in deep with all of these attacks on him and his family’s ranch. We will find out when Yellowstone season 5 returns this summer.
