It has been three months since The Young and The Restless star’s son has passed away and there are still many unanswered questions pertaining to his death. As previously reported. The Young and the Restless actor files wrongful death suit against mental hospital where his son died
Julian’s parents, Kristoff St. John, who plays Neil Winters on The Young and the Restless, and boxer Mia St. John, issued a statement to Sqor Sports revealing the heartbreaking news calling their son “an artist with a beautiful mind and spirit” and “the light of our lives.”
The coroner initially concluded Julian’s death was a suicide. But the family is not convinced that Julian’s death was self-inflicted and have began the necessary steps to file a wrongful death suit against the hospital. The tragic news of Julian St. John’s death revealed that Julian was found dead in Long, Beach, California’s La Casa Mental Hospital bathroom with a bag over his head.
The St, John’s family attorney Mark Geragos has confirmed the family’s decision to file the wrongful death suit. A close friend of The Young and the Restless star stated, “We believe this was not suicide. He was murdered.”According to the medical examiner Julian’s death was declared a suicide by asphyxiation. The official autopsy reports are not expected to be finished for several more weeks yet.
The Young and the Restless’ St.John’s son phoned his mother several hours before he was found dead. During the phone call Julian shared with his mother his fear that another patient at the hospital was going to kill him. His parents have requested to see the hospital security footage which they believe will support their murder theory. This will take a little time as they go through the proper court channels to secure the court ordered release of the video.
The family also believes that this will support their wrongful death case revealing the hospitals negligence in properly monitoring Julian during the suicide watch, which requires the patient to be checked on by the staff every fifteen minutes. This appears that it will be a long running battle between The Young and the Restless star’s Kristoff St, John’s family and the mental facility for several months, hopefully this family will get the closure they need from this one way or another.
