“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for August 29 reveal that some significant changes will occur in Genoa City. Things will not go as planned by Ashley Abbot (Eileen Davidson). The lesson she is about to learn will be pretty painful for her.
There is a lot to unpack in Tuesday’s episode of Y&R. Billy Abbott ( Jason Thompson), and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will soon discover that Tucker McCall ( Trevor St. John) has a few unexpected plans in store for them that will throw a wrench into everything they have been working for. But the most interesting development will occur between Ashley Abbot and Diane Jenkins-Abbott’s (Susan Walters) relationship.
The Young and the Restless: Ashley Discovers a Different Side of Diane
“Y&R” viewers know by now that Ashley and Diane are not on the best terms. Their volatile history is one of the Genoa City record books. However, a major shift is about to take place that will find Ashley seeing Diana in a different light. She will have no choice but to change her tune, at least for now.
Diane saving Ashley’s life will profoundly impact the characters’ dynamic. It looks like Ashley’s brush with death will find her looking to change her relationship with Diana and Jack Abbott. She wants to call another truce with Jack, but this time, she means well. Whether or not he will trust Ashley’s intentions is yet to be seen. However, according to Celebrating the Soaps with their history, many viewers believe it is doubtful this truce will last for long.
Y&R’s Abbott Family’s New Outlook Raises Suspicions
The lovey-dovey truce among the Abbott family is not going well with Tucker. It makes him nervous about what is going on behind the scenes. He wants to stir up some chaos between Jack and Billy.
But there is one thing standing in his way. He can’t quite wrap his head around what Ashley’s new attitude and family bond are all about. he feels as if he is being kept out of the loop, and it causes a few issues to arise between him and Ashley. Until recently, they have always been on the same page regarding Jack.
Tucker’s suspicious nature gets the best of him. He can’t fully accept that Ashley may choose her family over him, not after everything that has gone down between herself and Jack.
Other spoilers for “The Young and the Restless” reveal that Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) are about to get an unexpected update on their baby’s hearing loss. The news is not good. The weekly preview clip shows that Aria does have hearing loss. They will have important decisions to make once they get all the facts and learn there is no cure or treatment available. It will be a challenging time for them.

Victor also puts Adam in his place. He gives him a stern warning to back off Nick and Sharon, but Adam has more extensive plans of his own and will once again go against his father.
