“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for September reveal fans are in for a much-awaited treat when rock star Danny Romalotti ( Michael Damian) returns to Genoa City. Over the years, he’s returned several times. But this time, he is happy to reveal he will be back for an extended stay.
Michael Damiam first showed up in Genoa City in 1981. At the young age of 16, Danny Romalotti stole the hearts of not only the “Young and the Restless” viewers but carried on some hot and heavy romances with “Y&R” female leads such as Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland, Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bergman) and Amy Lewis ( Stephanie E. Williams) Christine “Cricket” Blair (Lauralee Bell) to name a just a few.
Seasoned fans will recall that Danny Romalotti had quite the drama-filled career as Genoa City’s famous rocker. Throughout the years, Michael Damien has reprised his role as Danny, including his 2002 to 2004 stint and brief visits in 2008, 2012 to 2013, and again from 2022- 2023.
However, according to Soap Central, Michael Damien will return to Genoa City on September 28, 2023. This means fans can expect Danny Romalotti to find himself involved in some rather compromising positions and stir up some juicy drama.
So, “The Young and the Restless” fans are chomping at the bit, trying to figure out what they can expect from Danny’s return. Of course, the bigwigs at CBS and “Y&R” are keeping this information hush for now.
What’s In Store For Danny Romalotti’s Return?
However, there is plenty of speculation and rumors starting to unfold. We won’t see Danny set foot in Genoa City until the end of September. But, per the “Y&R” rumor mill, he will likely be sticking around throughout the upcoming holidays.
Many “Young and the Restless” viewers call for a Christine and Danny reunion. They believe seeing the former lovebirds pick their romance back up would be pretty satisfying. During a past interview with Soap Hub, Michael Damian agreed with fans. He thinks that Danny and Christine need to be together. He says they are star-crossed lovers. So, he is on board for their romance to spark back up at some point in time.

Whether it will be during his extended stay at “The Young and the Restless” this fall remains to be seen. But you can bet the two will cross paths, and it will hit them both in the feels. Their marriage was brief from 1990-1994. It also ended badly due to his cheating. So, they have plenty of unresolved feelings to work through.
