Is Susan Lucci coming to The Young and the Restless?

The Young and the Restless is going through some rough times these days, rougher than the popular daytime soap has yet to see.

With The Young and the Restless ratings beginning to drop the show needs to make a huge adjustment if they want to keep their spot as the number one daytime soap, and fast.

It is no secret that fans have been very openly displeased since the firing of Michael Muhney, and with Adam Newman set to be returning to Genoa City in what could potentially be one of the show’s biggest story lines Jill Farren Phelps is getting a little nervous about where her future with R&R may lie.

Phelps knows that she needs to make a big move and fasts to shake up the show and keep fans interested, so she has reportedly made a huge offer to Susan Lucci, the four decade vet of All My Children to join the cast and really shake things up.

Is Phelps making the right moves with Y&R cast and story?

Reports reveal that Phelps assured Lucci should she accept that her character would be a smart business woman with a major story line. front-burner storyline.

But if Phelps could get Lucci to join the cast the real success of the show with dedicated fans lies with the Adam Newman story, will she replace Adam with a new face, or will she heed the fan’s warnings to bring back the beloved Michael Muhney?

Time is ticking with this story line, and those who are pulling for Muhney’s return are anxiously awaiting to see how The Young and the Restless will handle this mess.

But, if Phelps does go to Michael Muhney with her tail between her legs, begging for his return, will he accept?

It could go either way on this one, but we all know if Phelps begs for the return of Muhney, the ball of money however will be in his court and this could make for one of this biggest paychecks in daytime soap history if it is played out correctly.

If Phelps drops the ball again, it could appear that daytime television ma be saying goodbye to Genoa City and The Young and the Restless for good.
