Rocker Tommy Lee has vowed to leave the country if President Donald Trump get reelected. The Motley Crue drummer has stated that he has plans to move out of the United States of America with his family and head to Europe for the next four years if Trump were to get a second term in office.
Lee opened up about his political views in the most recent issues of The Big Issue Magazine, claiming that he would be packing his bags and heading to Greece — where he was born — if the 2020 election doesn’t go Joe Biden’s way.
“Dude, I swear to god if that happens then I’m coming over to visit the UK. I’m out of here. I’ll go back to my motherland, go back to Greece and get a house on one of the islands,” he declared during the interview.
The rock star has been very outspoken about Trump over the past for years. According to CNN, Lee most recently called out the President for refusing to condemn white supremacy during the first debate last month.
“The thing that stings the most is that I feel like we’re embarrassing. I feel like people in Europe and the rest of the world look at America and think: ‘What the f**k are you guys doing over there? Stop voting for celebrities and get someone real to run the country,'” Lee added.
Of course, the drummer isn’t the only celebrity to criticize Trump. Countless Hollywood faces have spoken out about the election and their displeasure with the current White House, including Lee’s former wife, Playboy Playmate and actress Pamela Anderson.
Anderson has also been very outspoken when it comes to Trump. In addition Lee’s fellow rockers, including Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler, and Neil Young have publicly asked the President not to play their songs at his rallies due to their political differences.
Music legend Bruce Springsteen has also made his dislike for Trump clear. The “Born To Run” singer says that he’ll pack his bags and be on the next flight to Australia if the President returns to the office for another four years.
“Just like all the celebs who vowed to move to Canada after the first election. Not that I’m a huge Trump fan, but I fail to see Tommy Lee’s departure as a bad thing.,” one person tweeted.
“So far this morning I have seen tweets that alerted me that Tommy Lee and Bruce Springsteen will move out of the USA if Trump is reelected. We heard those stories 4years ago. It seems to me that you can make a difference by staying & trying to change things. #justsaying,” another wrote.
