While attending the concert, Swift changed the lyrics to one of her song’s lyrics to give a nod to Kelce, and fans went wild. Now, the athlete is speaking out about the viral moment.
Travis Kelce was shocked by Taylor Swift’s lyric change in Argentina
While at Taylor Swift’s Argentina concert, Travis Kelce was heavily noticed by fans. The NFL star sat with Swift’s father during the concert, and fans couldn’t help but film his reaction to the singer’s performance.
Of course, the biggest moment of the night happened when Swift changed the lyrics to the song “Karma.” The singer belted out, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me,” and fans went crazy. Kelce also had a big reaction to the moment. During his “New Heights” podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, the Kansas City tight end revealed his true reaction to the moment.
“I might have had a little bit of a clue, but definitely, when I heard it come out of her mouth, it still shocked me. I was like, ‘Oh, she really just said that,’” he admitted.
Travis gushes over Taylor’s on-stage performance
During the podcast, Travis Kelce also opened up about how in awe he was of Taylor Swift during her concert. He even told his brother that he needed to attend one of her shows to share the experience.
“I was blown away. The show was even more electric knowing that I had a little bit more to enjoy [it] for,“ he said. “Taylor absolutely ripped it. She killed it. It looked like she was having some fun up there. We gotta get you to a concert. … I’m telling you, it’ll blow you away,” he told Jason.
People can’t get enough of Taylor and Travis’ love story
Fans have become obsessed with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s love story. However, other celebrities are also invested in the romance. Recently, “One Tree Hill” star Hilarie Burton Morgan spoke out about the couple on Twitter. The actress predicted that the pair would be engaged within the next few months.
The actress pointed out that Swift seems very at home with Kelce. She even compared the football player’s energy to that of her own husband, actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
“Every other guy made her feel like she had to downplay her own work. This big ol beefy tree of a man is holding up signs and singing along! Catching her as she runs offstage?!?!” Burton wrote. “Just saying….strong @JDMorgan energy. Get a man who lights up when you win,” she added.
