Taylor Swift has become the Kansas City Chiefs’ number-one fan since she began dating Travis Kelce. However, the 2024 season has been difficult for the star tight end, and Week 3 of the NFL season was no different. After a rocky start in the first two games, Kelce put up more disappointing numbers against the Atlanta Falcons. In addition, Swift wasn’t there to see it, as she opted to hit up NYC with her friends.
After yet another disappointing game, Travis Kelce was seen sitting on the bench during the Kansas City Chiefs game, and he didn’t look happy. The athlete not only looked upset with his game play, but may have also been let down that Taylor Swift wasn’t there to support him and the team.

“Hunched and uncharacteristically subdued-looking, Travis appears to be in [a] reflective mood in this moment of what appears to be unhappiness,” body language expert Judi James tells The Mirror.
”His eye expression looks undeniably sad. Is he crying? His hand to eye gesture could just be a quick rubbing ritual but it does also allow for tears but if he is wiping a tear he’s doing it in a way that would suggest he’s desperately trying to cover up. His finger rubs the top of his closed lid to suggest he’s just clearing or scratching although there is then a subtle dabbing or rubbing lower down on the cheek afterward,” she elaborated.
It remains to be seen if Kelce was upset about Swift’s absence from the game. Instead of attending the match, she opted to hang out in New York. She was spotted having dinner with model Gigi Hadid.
Perhaps Taylor stayed away in hopes of Travis having a better game. However, that didn’t seem to work. Instead, his performance was lackluster again, and fantasy football fans around the country are not happy about it.
“He misses Taylor. She’s not there rooting for him,” one person commented on Newsbreak.
“Swift is wearing him out,” another person theorized.
“Too much outside distraction. He can’t feel good about himself,” wrote a third person.
“Too busy trying to showboat for her and not performing for his team,” a fourth comment read.
It remains to be seen if there is a reason why Travis Kelce’s game seems to be hurting. In addition, it was strange not to see Taylor Swift there to support him. Eagle-eyed fans will certainly be keeping tabs on the couple to see if there’s a correlation between the two.
