Usher is in some hot water for an alleged STD scandal. The singer is allegedly living with herpes, according to legal documents obtained by Radar Online. The former Voice coach allegedly spread the sexually transmitted disease after failing to disclose the condition to a former sexual partner.
The documents, which were filed back in 2012 claims that, “Getting infected with genital herpes from [Usher] Raymond has devastated [named redacted]. She feels that her health and body have been ruined. From the day she was infected continuing to the present, [name redacted] has suffered severe emotional distress and has been extremely depressed. In May 2012, she cried all the time and did not want to leave her house. Not a day has gone by where she does not feel desolation and despair about her herpes infection knowing that there is no cure. Her infection has destroyed her sense of self, wholeness, health, and beauty and she fears that she will never be able to have the type of relationship she had hoped for.”
Usher reportedly later admitted to having herpes, and apologized to his ex for passing it along to her. The singer then offered to pay for her medical treatment. “In a series of telephone conversations and online chat sessions, [Usher] has apologized for infecting [her] and told her he would take care of things.”
When it was all said and done, Usher allegedly settled the court cause by paying a total of over $1.1 million to the unnamed woman. The singer is was previously married to Tameka Foster and is now married to Grace Miguel, a former executive chef on The Cosby Show. The “Yeah” and “Confessions” singer has yet to comment on the STD scandal or the media reports that have followed.
