Mel and Jack on Virgin River

Virgin River Season 5 Trailer: Breaking Down The Dramatic Moments

Virgin River” Season 5 is right around the corner and Netflix has finally given fans a dramatic new trailer to enjoy while waiting for the new batch of episodes. However, brace yourselves because things are getting heated in Virgin River…literally.

In the new trailer, Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) are seen discussing their future and gushing over what great parents they’re going to be to their unborn child. The couple are as cute as ever and look happy and content together. However, all that changes when it’s revealed that Mel has decided to quit her job at Doc’s small medical practice to focus on her high-risk pregnancy and growing family.

Virgin River Season 5 trailer reveals major drama

Meanwhile, it looks like the biggest story of “Virgin River” Season 5 is going to be a huge fire that engulfs the town, forcing the residents to rise from the ashes and rebuild their homes and lives. In the brief scenes from the fire, Jack and Brady look to be running into the flames in order to save people, a child in particular.

In addition, Brie appears to be testifying at Brady’s court hearing and she’s not going to let her man down. She opens up about Brady’s bravery and heart, which will hopefully help him to escape criminal punishment. All the while, Preacher is dealing with his love life and it looks like things will be heating up for the beloved character. Another couple in the spotlight includes Lizzy and Denny, who first began their budding romance in Season 4.

Of course, there are still so many unanswered questions such as what happens with Charmaine and her twins now that fans know that Jack isn’t the father. The story behind the big reveal should be a big one, but may finally relieve some of the pressure from Jack’s life and allow him to focus more on Mel, their baby, and their relationship.

Burning questions still linger for Virgin River fans

Doc and Hope’s health woes will also be front and center as they’ve both been dealing with health issues over the past two seasons. Sadly, Doc’s grandson, Denny, has his own health problems to endure, and the family could be ready to lean on each other as they navigate the difficult time in their lives together.

“Virgin River” Season 5 officially premieres on Netflix on September 7, and fans can’t wait to see what’s in store for the beloved characters when the new season drops.
