“Wayward Pines” is returning to Fox for season 2 and fans are already on the edge of their seats wanting to know when the series will return to the network and what to expect during the sophomore season of the series.
‘Wayward Pines’ Season 2 Premiere Date revealed
According to Dead Line, “Wayward Pines” Season 2 will return to Fox on Wednesday, May 25, and will run until mid-summer much like Season 1 did.
The report reveals that many of the original actors will return to reprise their roles in Season 2 such as “Empire” star Terrence Howard, who will be back as Sheriff Arnold Pope.
Also returning for “Wayward Pines” Season 2 is Hope Davis (Megan Fisher), Toby Jones (Dr. Jenkins/David Pilcher), Shannyn Sossamon (Theresa Burke), Tim Griffin (Adam Hassler), Charlie Tahan (Ben Burke), Melissa Leo (Nurse Pam), Carla Gugino (Kate Hewson) and Tom Stevens (Jason Higgins).
While Matt Dillion will not return as Ethan Burke, who was killed in the Season 1 finale, the new leading man has been cast. Jason Patric has joined “Wayward Pines” for Season 2 along with Djimon Hounsou.

Season 2 will pick up after the shocking events of Season 1. The residents of Wayward Pines will be battling against the strict rules of the First Generation, who were the children being taught to preserve the creepy town at school.
Jason Patric will play Dr. Theo Yedlin, a new member of the Wayward Pines community who awakens from his suspended animation to find himself in the middle of the rebellion against the First Generation.
