Welcome to Plathville star Barry Plath is ready to cut all ties and memories to his ex-wife, Kim Plath, and finally move on to start a new life. The father of 9 has just put the Plath family home in Cairo, Georgia, on the market and is focusing on his new life plans.
Barry Plath is reportedly on a mission these days. He is looking to make some significant life changes, and is starting with a change of residence. Namely, ditching his ex-wife’s dream home. Barry Plath and Kim Plath purchased the Cairo farmhouse in 2019 for $340,000. The home is now on Zillow’s list with a current asking price of $649,000. Meaning, if all goes as planned, the Welcome to Plathville dad stands to make a nice chunk of change, according to The Ashley.
TLC fans will recall that the huge five-bedroom, six-bathroom home was purchased during the second season of ‘Welcome to Plathville.’ Despite their split, Barry has continued to live there with some of the Plath kids.
On the outside, the house looks picture-perfect in the real estate photos. However, fans and insiders say what’s lurking behind those floor-to-ceiling windows is a whole different story. However, fans on Reddit believe the house needs a lot of work and holds too many bad vibes. Which could be the main reason Barry is ready to ditch the house.
One Redditor writes, “I wouldn’t be surprised if the prayer closet doubled as a panic room. That house has seen things.” Another adds, “Some things just aren’t worth keeping.”
Welcome To Plathville Fans Wonder If Barry Plath May Have A New Love Interest
Some fans question if Barry Plath’s reason for selling the Welcome to Plathville family home may have to do with a new love interest. Since his split with Kim, Barry’s sons, namely Micah, have been trying to get Barry to get back out on the dating scene.
True that while Barry is undergoing a major glo-up and style changes, so far it appears that he has refrained from attempting to meet someone new. But who knows? Micah claims he gets numerous DMs from women expressing interest in Barry. So, perhaps Micah’s pushiness has finally paid off?
